it’s worth a shot

OMG, thank you so much for the flood of support and advice I received from you all last week about my recent migraine flare and perimenopause.

My heart was so touched by your care and openness about your own personal experiences and resources that have helped you.

I am usually on the giving end of migraine support, but wow did it feel good to be on the receiving end.

Thank you, friends. 🫶

Which brings me to today’s theme of trying new things.

You might not think of yourself as much of a risk-taker, but I'm here to tell you that people with migraine take more risks than the average Joe.

In fact, that drive to keep trying new things is probably what got you to join my email list in the first place.

If you've had migraine for more than a year or so, you have probably tried a zillion things to help your migraine.

OTC meds, prescription abortives, prescription preventives, birth control, electro-magnetic devices, injections, mouth guards, supplements, diets, counseling, chiropractic, and massage are all the things I have tried in my twenty years with migraine disease.

🎲 Each one of these represents a gamble or risk that I took in order to feel better.

I risked money, time and sometimes unpleasant side effects or fears (CGRP needles!) to find a way to stop migraine from taking over my life.

Taking risks to feel better is a way of life for people living with migraine.

Much of the time, those risks are a loss and don’t help us feel much better.

But once in a while, we win the jackpot.

My first jackpot was the CEFALY device (affiliate link) that cut my chronic migraine attacks in half without side effects. CEFALY enabled me to get pregnant again without prescription meds in my system. Score!

My second jackpot was training to be a yoga teacher and resigning from my career as a public school teacher in order to start Yoga for Migraine.

This was a huge scary gamble that turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life.

You see, at the time, I was the main breadwinner for my family on a part-time salary. Deciding if I should bail on my teaching gig in the summer and start a business from scratch without any steady income was literally migraine-inducing.

I took the huge risk to move towards my dreams instead of staying stuck in a constant cycle of migraine and struggle.

🎰 And I feel like I won the jackpot of my life.

Not only do I love what I do, but my migraine and mental health have improved with the flexibility of running my own purpose-driven business.

Yoga helped me realize that more was possible for me beyond the daily grind of work, mothering and being in pain from migraine.

Sometimes taking that risk, believing in yourself and making big life changes can have a huge payoff.

Adriane

PS It’s kind words from my clients that truly keep me going. After lamenting that so many of her migraine meds had just stopped working after awhile, my Beyond Migraine client Lisa N. just posted:

"I have had great results so far. I had 19 attacks in December. So far in February I have had 6 attacks. It has really been amazing. I am really happy with Adriane’s program. I wish I had found it years ago!!!"

Lisa gave Beyond Migraine a shot, and was able to decrease her migraine symptoms by over 50% in less than 8 weeks, with no new meds or diets. Is now your time to explore if Beyond Migraine is right for you? Let’s talk this week.
